Employee Engagement Manager

Salary Range [ $75,000- $85,000 ]


The Employee Engagement Manager supports corporate communication activities and helps build awareness of the Pelican corporate brand. Main areas of support include Corporate Events, Corporate Communication, Community Relations, Employee Engagement and Culture.



  • Research, write, and edit internal communication documents to ensure consistency and appropriate cascading of information throughout the organization.
  • Create employee communication plans, materials, and presentations to increase the effectiveness and impact for employees. Create content for key documents, presentations, and talking points and ensure they are delivered through appropriate channels.
  • Coordinate global corporate event planning and logistics throughout the year, ensuring successful execution of events.
  • Collaborate with and lead via influence internal teams (i.e., HR) to execute on global communications and events.
  • Write and release press releases on newsworthy corporate events
  • Support programs impacting community relations, employee engagement, employee resource groups, and Learning and Development programs.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.
  • Performs additional duties as required.



  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Public Relations, or related field
  • Experience: A minimum of (3) years of related experience
  • Basic knowledge of Corporate Communication, Community Engagement, Event Management, Public Relations, Social Media procedures/processes
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various web-content tools.
  • Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral, and be able to write creative press releases, business letters and reports
  • Must be organized, accurate, deadline and detail-oriented



  • This is a hybrid role where some time will be required in the office weekly (3 days per week on average)

  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
