Pelican believes its close ties to local communities and its participation in special programs and events has played an important role in the company’s overall success.  Through the years, Pelican has been very active in supporting community interests and other charitable institutions, including the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation, Inner City Arts, Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce, Anza Elementary Adopt-a-School Program, Torrance-South Bay YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs, Richstone Family Center, 1736 Family Crisis Center, Rainbow Services, Tree Musketeers, American Cancer Society, Invictus Games, the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and the Pelican for Patriots Program.

We have been a proud sponsor and participant of the “Making Strides against Breast Cancer” campaign and other charity events for many years.  Pelicans often get wellness credit for participating in fundraising walks and runs.

Pelican partners with local schools and participates in science fairs, field trips, open houses and other fun events. Pelican recently hosted over two hundred 5th and 6th graders from Anza Elementary School for a field trip.

Pelicans are encouraged to participate in “green” initiatives—whether it’s a beach cleanup, a Tree Musketeers Arbor Day event, or simply making sure to consistently recycle at work and at home.

  • Pelican is deeply committed to supporting our military heroes and their causes—both on the field and when they return home.

We support the Pelican for Patriots Program, the Marine Corp Scholarships Foundation, the Armed Forces Foundation, the Invictus Games.  Pelican has also sponsored employee teams to participate in the annual Camp Pendleton “Mud Run”.
