SUMMARY

 

The Vice President of Marketing will increase the company’s market share and maximize revenues to thrive against competitors while enhancing the Pelican brand. The Vice President of Marketing will oversee the strategic planning and implementation of all North and South America marketing activities. This role will also be required to support the international marketing teams and coordinate projects with them as needed.

 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Plans and directs all aspects of Pelican’s marketing promotions and strategies, including pricing policies and advertising campaigns to enhance the company’s position in the Americas.

· Designs and implements comprehensive and innovative marketing strategies to create awareness of the company’s business activities and products.

· Leverages analytical tools to identify, set and measure continuous areas of improvement.

· Strategically adjusts department’s activities, policies, and practices to meet and exceed key performance metrics and customer satisfaction goals.

· Ensures contingency policies, systems, and practices are in place to prevent and eliminate business disruption.

· Produces ideas for promotional events and activities and organizes them efficiently.

· Plans and ensures execution of campaigns for corporate promotion and launch of new products or lines.

· Builds both brand awareness and affinity throughout targeted segments and end-users.

· Controls budgets and allocates resources amongst projects.

· Oversees websites, advertising, social media, dealer communication, sales support, marketing material, product launches, and tradeshows.

· Maintains brand standards and trademark documents; coordinates the annual review of trademarks and renewal with the legal department.

· Performs additional duties as assigned.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field.

· Minimum of 15 + years of manufactured product marketing, overall marketing, and communications.

· Demonstrated capability in developing and leading Manager and Director level direct reports.

· Minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity in developing high-performing staff in website development, digital marketing, social media, marketing campaigns, catalog design, etc.

· Proficient with analysis and design software

· Knowledge of internet marketing campaigns, including SEO

· Advanced knowledge of web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.) and Google Adwords.
