OVERVIEW:
Perform a variety of routine duties to ensure that assembly areas have all needed prints, components and supplies to safely and efficiently maintain the flow of product. Retrieve all necessary tooling and fixtures for these areas. Will review work orders and prints to identify all required prints, components, kits, parts.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- View all current work orders for their status and print new orders as needed.
- Print all related drawings as specified on the work order.
- Identify and deliver appropriate kits to the workstations and fill point of use bowls as needed.
- Retrieve or replace all items needed from the tool crib or dispatch center to eliminate indirect work for the assemblers.
- Deliver empty Kan Ban buckets to the machine shop for replenishment.
- Make gaskets as needed.
- Transact finished product and deliver to shipping.
- Notify the dispatch center or appropriate party of any parts shortages and/or return extra parts.
- Call QA for inspection or consultation as required.
- Assist in moving stacked product to the assembly lines.
- Order boxes as needed.
- Perform first piece inspections as required.
- Complete pre-assembly tasks as needed for upcoming and in-process work orders.
- Provide good communication to Team Leads and Supervisor.
- Report all safety and production issues to Supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as required.
What You'll Need:
- Must have the understanding and ability to follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Must be able to operate machine controls.
- Must be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
- Must be able to complete assignments within time frame specified by the Supervisor.
- Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be flexible with work schedules and be available to work overtime.
