The Process Engineer is responsible for the methods, systems and equipment used in a manufacturing facility to convert raw materials into their final product form. The Process Engineer will ensure the smooth operation of production facilities by optimizing current process and support with implementation of strategic projects.


What You’ll Do:


  • Assess with operational processes, taking measurements, and gathering data to identify improvements. 
  • Develop best practices and implement solutions to help improve production rates, efficiency, cost, and product quality by running improvement activities and liaise with existing and new suppliers as required.
  • Prepare process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Oversee and assess new and existing processes and equipment.
  • Monitor production equipment performance.
  • Assist with testing and trials of new materials and equipment and other validation activities.
  • Continuous improvement for yield, efficiency, productivity, and cost improvements.
  • Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement.
  • Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Perform other duties including tasks and work on special projects as required or assigned by Manager.


What You’ll Need:


  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment and 2 years of proven work experience as a Process Engineer or similar role.
  • Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience of statistical process control, design of experiments, statistical data analysis, continuous improvement, 5S, design for six sigma.
  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and solve problems.
  • Must have the ability to manage own projects, end-to-end.
  • Experience with process simulations and standard operating procedures.
  • Proficient with computer and information technology, experience working with CAD software and project management tools.
  • Ability to communicate and influence others to adapt change of existing practices.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.

  • Recognized qualification in Project Management.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to executive non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).

Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
