The Machine Operator III is responsible for the operation and performance of automated machinery and equipment to ensure all equipment and machinery perform per intended use.

What You’ll Do:

• The Machine Operator III is responsible for safe and efficient running of automated and semi-automated production equipment.
• This position requires the operator to work independently and under minimal supervision. Can diagnose machine issues and fix it independently or with Technician assistance.
• Collaborates in an effective, professional, and courteous manner with other area employees.
• Follows detailed machinery operating instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Complies with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Quality System.
• Responsible that all appropriate materials are used in production build per product Bill of Material.
• As part of conducting assessments of proficiency of trainees, may identify needed changes in training/performance expectations in relation to machinery operations. Actively participates in or leads continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
• Responsible for insuring machine is operating within programmed parameters for a consistent output that meet quality/quantity objectives.
• Assists Technician in repairing/maintaining equipment as directed.
• Is responsible to troubleshoot and understand what part(s) of machine are having issues and capable if fixing issues with tools when needed and notifies required staff of any issues found.
• Ensures key performance measures are recorded and turned into the lead and/or supervisor in a timely/accurately and according to performance recording rules.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Notifies immediate Supervisor of any violation or deviation.
• Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in running an automated/semi-automated equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior machine operator experienced preferred.
• Vocational/Technical school certificate/diploma a plus.
• Proven ability to understand, operate or troubleshoot to repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical/software-based aspects of the machinery

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
• Must be able to work in a powdery environment with use of appropriate PPE.
