Overview:

The Material Planner will play a highly collaborative and visible role as part of a global, cross-functional team.  Primary responsibility will be for planning the supply/replenishment that includes managing, monitoring, and ensuring procurement and distribution of start-up and ongoing component inventory along with supporting qualification initiatives.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

50% - Planning & Execution

  • Monitor and track global component inventory levels to ensure necessary inventory is at owned & vendor locations. 
  • Manage and adjust inventory levels and execute necessary fulfillment strategy (e.g. inventory reallocation, increasing program inventory etc.).
  • Ensure component and qualification material readiness for new product launches, extensions & product discontinuation etc.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and establish corrective actions to prevent future or repeated occurrences. Drive regular cycle counts in all Service Centres.
  • Develop system of being able to Calculate safety stocks and reorder points to establish repeatable and systematic material replenishment processes
  • Investigate, analyze, reduce and eliminate slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Initiate and expedite vendor purchase requisitions and intercompany orders to ensure timely component availability and provide feedback to the appropriate internal and business partner personnel.

 

30% - Internal Customer Service Interaction and External Business Partner interaction

  • External and internal interface with services, operations, supply chain, transport & global business partners (vendors), to adequately manage component inventory requirements and demands.
  • Resolve issues with global business partners (vendors), relative to material availability and quality within a timely manner that is appropriate to this situation.
  • Drive resolution to materials and spares needs/supply/sourcing for new material and product releases into the Credo on Demand and Credo Cube refurbishment programs 

 

  • Coordinate and track logistics services as needed to ensure products are delivered within communicated timeframe.
  • Ensure that SLAs agreed by the Production departments are met to enable customer programmes to operate within agreed parameters.
  • Coordinate review of any engineering changes with existing inventory to minimize obsolete inventory and ensure continuous supply.
  • Support and expedite materials on behalf of business partners (vendors) as needed
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to execute, evaluate and recommend common work processes, and improvement projects.
  • Creating invoices within SAP for Customer programmes run thorough business partners

 

10% - Systems/Data Management, Reporting and Analysis

  • Provide regular, ongoing reporting that includes, but is not limited to current service levels, program performance, and key performance indicators.

10% - Continuous Improvement

  • Support implementation of process and system enhancements to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Analyze business trends and make recommendations for inventory growth or minimization based on analysis and current trends.
  • Support the implementation of best business practices for inventory management and replenishment, including minimum and maximum inventory levels, standard order quantities, etc.

 

 

What You’ll Need:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience in business, production planning, procurement, or a technical/industrial/supply or cold chain field.
  • Minimum of three years of customer service or inventory planning-related work experience.
  • Must be proficient with SAP Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Must be detailed-orientated and have excellent data entry skills to ensure accuracy of information entered into application systems.
