The Management Accountant is part of a team of 6 Global Finance personnel. This role is based in the UK and performs global finance functions for the UK, USA, and Asia. You will proactively assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of Management Accounts, Statutory Accounts, and Financial Returns, as well as manage Balance Sheet Reconciliations, post bank transactions, perform payment runs, and prepare intercompany reconciliations. The role holder will be required to actively support the business in understanding and rectifying variances in Financial Performance, be a champion for providing excellent service, and assist with Budgeting and Forecasting processes. The Assistant Management Accountant is part of a team of 6 Global Finance personnel. This role is based in the UK and will perform global finance functions for the UK, USA and Asia. You will be required to prepare the bank reconciliation, perform payment runs, submit intercompany recharges and assist towards the full preparation of monthly management accounts.



What You’ll Do:


  • intercompany reconciliations, posting journals and preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations,
  • Reconcile bank account balances. Run daily bank reports, continually monitoring status of all payments and receipts. Ensures all queries are resolved promptly.
  • Monitor capital projects, posts depreciation, reconciles the Fixed Asset registers, and prepares supporting schedules.
  • Prepare the Intrastat, VAT Return and other tax reports.
  • Manages the credit card and travel expense process.
  • Prepares the weekly payment runs.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with the budget, forecast, statutory accounts and annual audit.
  •  Preparing the cashflow forecast. Support Finance Manager with division and Corporate requirements.
  • Plan, design and implement changes to reporting methodologies to improve the speed and accuracy of the closing cycle.
  • Committed to continued process improvement, business, and system efficiencies.
  • Assist in responding to government reports and prepares supporting schedules.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Support other members of the Finance team during absence or critical time periods.
  • Administer payment runs.
  • Assist with the annual UK and Asia audit.



What You’ll Need:


  • Qualified with Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a finance team
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, sumifs, index, sumproduct).
  • SAP experience: SAP navigation, AP Transaction Code (Tcodes), AR Tcodes, Journal Tcodes, Fixed Asset Tcodes, Internal Order Tcodes, Purchase (PO) Tcodes and Document Flow. 
  • Manufacturing experience highly advantageous
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Must have excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An excellent working knowledge of MS Office
  • Results driven, dynamic individual with hands-on approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, dedicated to continuous improvement
