Overview:

The Human Resources Manager is a critical position that will act as a business partner by providing professional HR guidance and support to relevant internal client groups with the objective to add value to the business. This position will be responsible for talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, payroll, employee relations, learning initiatives, performance management and organizational change

 

 What You’ll Do:

 

  • Contributes to the business strategy by helping identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
  • Supports line management in forecasting and planning talent pipeline requirements.
  • Facilitates initiatives to build a high-performing organization aligned with the strategic leadership agenda.
  • Ensures HR processes and practices at all facilities within assigned region are in compliance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts recruitment, including sourcing, tracking and administration of assessments, background and reference checks.  Conducts new-employee orientations, onboarding, outplacement counseling and exit interviews.
  • Collaborates and negotiates with agencies that provide temporary, contract labor, and outsourced HR services for benefits as appropriate for the EMEA region.
  • Rewrites job descriptions as necessary; analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and suggests revisions as necessary.
  • Interprets and counsels’ employees regarding company policies and procedures. Conducts investigations and employee relations counseling as necessary.
  • Manages payroll administration and filings in conjunction with Finance Department; ensures timeliness and accuracy of the payroll administration function.
  • Ensures Peli BioThermal HR policies and activities are consistent with both regional and Pelican Corporate policies.
  • Manages specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational plan as well as participates in functional and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Develops and promotes feedback mechanisms for employees to influence continuous improvement of HR services and processes.
  • Develops, recommends and implements HR policies and reward strategies to ensure decisions and practices are fair, consistent, objective and in-line with business goals.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Review and benchmark internal and external environment to improve HR policies and initiatives to enhance overall business performance.
  • Identifies and drives communication and sharing of learning across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Manages the HR team

 

 

What You’ll Need:

 

  • Higher education in business administration and/or HR management with a minimum 7 years’ experience in HR role(s) in comparable organizations.
  • Maintains active involvement in the HR community through networking, continuing professional development education/certification, and leadership roles in professional associations. CIPD level 7 preferred.
  • Ability to develop clear, actionable steps from larger strategic plan & complete projects according to set timeframes and budget.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, project management skills
  • Proficient with HRIS systems and software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and other appropriate software.
