We currently have an opening for an Accounting Manager based at our site in Albuquerque, NM.


The Accounting Manager is an independent, hands-on and self-directed individual who leads all aspects of the Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis functions for the designated manufacturing facility. This position reports directly to the Divisional Controller and works closely with members of the Peli BioThermal Division and Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Operations and IT groups to support business objectives.



  • Responsible for the accurate and timely closing of the books, preparation of monthly financial statements and accompanying management reports.
  • Responsible for all aspects of Cost Accounting, including annual standard cost rolls, development of labor and overhead rates, variance analysis, absorption and capitalization.
  • Participation in the development of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations ensuring compliance with the business' accounting policies and procedures.
  • Lead, train, develop and motivate accounting staff to maintain a high level of employee commitment and competence for sustained and self-reliant performance and achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
  • Primary point of contact for external auditors during the year-end audit for designated facility.
  • Coordinate, prepare and/or review audit schedules.
  • Collaborate and liaise with internal key stakeholders, other Plant Controllers, Finance Managers and Corporate Accounting to ensure intercompany transactions are properly accounted for and the results of the division are appropriately reflected in the consolidated financial statements.
  • Identify and pursue strategic business initiatives that provide meaningful contribution to the organization.
  • Work closely with the Divisional Controller and Global Finance Director to identify and implement enhancements to the Company’s internal control over GAAP compliance and financial reporting accuracy
  • Provide relevant accounting training to internal stakeholders
  • Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follow safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



  • Degree in Finance or Accounting field.
  • CPA (or local equivalent).
  • 7-10 years accounting/finance related experience including full cycle accounting.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience with the ability to hire, train, direct, develop and retain others.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP requirements and accounting functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Cost Accounting.
  • Experience using QuickBooks and MAX MRP, plus SAP for near future implementation.
  • Advanced computer and Excel skills including pivot table and advanced formula knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively manage direct reports located overseas.

  • Establishes challenging, productive and achievable goals for direct reports; measure results by establishing checkpoints to track progress.
  • Must be able to travel, nationally and internationally, as necessary.



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
