SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Sales Director, the Sales Manager will be responsible for business development and promotion of different product categories such as: Standard Cases, Customized Cases and Lighting Products.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively seek new business by establishing new customers
- Develop and expand Peli distribution network
- Develop awareness of protective case solutions and applications across multiple industries and especially among Aerospace and Defense Contractors and military organizations
- Work closely on sales projects with distributors, dealers and OEM customers
- Visit dealers, end-users and OEM customers to perform product training
- Meet with resellers to determine commercial activity in the area, review status of current sales efforts, resolve problems, ensure sales and marketing goals are being achieved
- Assist with preparation of proposals and quotations
- Represent Peli at trade shows
- Update customer database (CRM) and document customer-related activity
- When required, liaise with internal manufacturing and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of projects
- When required, assist Finance and Operations in resolving customer issues.
Perform additional duties as assigned
- JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in B2B sales of industrial products
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales budgets
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing distribution network
- Experience in selling bespoke products desired but not mandatory
- Ability to effectively close deals and manage sales cycles of varied length
- Ability to quickly learn technical aspects of Peli products portfolio and specific markets relating to them
- Strong written and oral communication skills - ability to communicate technical sales information clearly and concisely
- Public speaking and presentation skills essential
- Excellent organizational skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in using SAP and Salesforce (or similar) desired
- Bachelor or University Degree in Engineering or Business desired but not mandatory
