Product Marketing Manager

The Product Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in facilitating the execution of the global product roadmap in Europe as a primary objective. In parallel, he/she will start developing a more strategic charter, identifying product opportunity to further accelerate Peli’s position in the Professional Protection Equipment space in terms of both products and services, liaising with the US headquarters as well as Asian suppliers to ensure execution.


What You’ll Do:

•              Localizes the global product roadmap to the EMEA region in connection with the global PM function.

•              Identifies new potential products and/or features of existing ones that could bolster Peli’s commercial success.

•              Creates a quantitative business case to drive the funding and launch of such new product ranges/features.

•              Sets up and owns the product training process for the sales and customer service teams.

Maintains the appropriate value propositions vis a vis the 3 core product categories (cases, lights, area lighting), paying special care to sub-brands within the categories.

•              Reviews pricing strategy of the 3 core product categories with the creation and maintenance of value curves.

•              Partners with the sales and marketing teams in the positioning of the various sub-brands.

•              Identifies and drives the creation of sales support tools and initiatives in cooperation with Marketing and Sales and performs ongoing data reviews to ensure accuracy across all channels.

•              Maps competitive moves at all times with respect to pricing, features, packaging, new product launches.

•              Along with relevant teams at US HQ liaise with overseas (Asian) suppliers to drive the "indigenous" product roadmap execution.

•              Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to develop Go To Market strategy after previous market research to position the new product accordingly.

•              Liaises with ATEX certification body.

•              Conducts or supports product-related projects, buyer persona analysis or participation in focus groups.

•              Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.

•              Performs additional duties as assigned.


What You’ll Need:

•              Advanced degree in Business or Engineering.

•              Strong working knowledge or experience in Commercial Lighting markets.

•              Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience with at least 3-4 in product management & product marketing management.

•              Experience in working with Asian subcontractors & US headquarters.

•              Strong business development acumen.

•              Experience working in the Professional Protection Equipment, exposure to ATEX regulations is a plus.

•              This position requires the ability to provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with all stakeholders.

•              This is primarily a sedentary office position located in the center of Barcelona within a multi-nationality environment although may be asked to travel internationally.

•              Must have excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.

•              Actively supports and complies with Peli’s objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.

•              Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.

•              Must be flexible regarding working hours.

•              Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
