E-Commerce Business Manager D2C

Overview:

The E-commerce Business Manager will provide overall leadership for driving the operation of Peli’s ecommerce platform to enhance our multi-channel capabilities.  Responsibilities include managing the online shop on Peli.com website that focuses on selling of products directly to end consumers (D2C). Critical aspects of the role involve managing the design and content of the ‘Shop’ portion of Peli.com, as well as overseeing online marketing and merchandising which includes managing the product assortment, ongoing optimizations, campaign management, and overall profitability of the site. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing Peli’s ecommerce vendors, IT solution providers and coordinating with the internal Peli cross-functional teams (Operations, Marketing, Finance) to ensure operational efficiency and support issue resolution.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the e-commerce shops from end to end and be responsible for hitting aggressive sales growth targets across the multiple platforms (.com, .fr, .it, .es, .de, .co.uk as a starter).
  • Drive the digital shop (A/B testing, create bundles and promotions, drive traffic/conversions, etc) – special focus on product merchandising, price integrity, promotions.
  • Help create the scope of work to be implemented by the webshop service provider, thus getting an opportunity to shape fully the end-to-end solution.
  • Maintain relationship with the webshop service provider to ensure timely support and best in class transactional experience.
  • Ensure strategic and executional alignment with the “brick and mortar” channels as well as with Amazon and other digital channels.
  • Manage the Direct to Consumer (D2C) marketplaces locally (EMEA) and work with the global US team on strategy.
  • Build and manage the affiliate/partnership programs and shape additional revenue streams.
  • Own the forecasting, demand planning and sales quota for the e-shop also through use of BI tools in cooperation with the Business Analysis team.
  • Collect product data and content from team members in other functions/locations as well as assisting in the development of new best-in-class content.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to create a cohesive digital user experience that culminates with the online sale leveraging all digital channels and tools (social media, SEO, digital advertising etc) to maximize traffic and create a best-in-class product presence online.
  • Monitor online retail by product category and overall, in order to gain insight on competitive activity, emerging opportunities, and best in class approaches.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum of a BA and MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience mostly or entirely matured within a digital or eCommerce focus.
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience with direct shop management.
  • Owning a full shop or group of shops directly, not third-party e-tailers.
  • Experience with a multi-channel (digital and traditional) sales model.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset a major plus!
